Realme 2 smartphone was launched at a launch event held in New Delhi. Remember that this year Realme was launched as a sub-brand of Oppo. However, later became a separate company to form the independent Smartphone Brand. By the way, Realme 2 is the upgrade of the company’s new smartphone Realme 1.
Talking about the important features of the new Realme 2, this phone comes with a face unlock feature, 4,230 mAh battery, Dual 4G VOLTE and 4 GB RAM. If seen, Realme 2 does not truly upgrade to Realme 1. Because the old phone also had a variant of 6 GB RAM. But the Realme 2 has the highest RAM of 4 GB Variant. Apart from this, the Snapdragon 450 processor has been used in Realme 2.
However, this phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which was not present in Realme 1. The company also clearly tipping at the launch event that in coming days Realme 2 Pro could be launched.
Pricing and Availability of Realme 2 in India
In India, the price of Realme 2 will start at 8,990 INR. This is one of the best option of smartphones under 10000 Rs. There will be a variant of 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage at this price. 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variants will be sold for 10,990 INR. The phone will be sold on Flipkart in India from Sep 4, 2018. It will be available in Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, and Diamond Red Color. This price will be tough competition for the handset like Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Nokia 3.1.
The company would also provide the discount of Rs. 750 HDFC Bank credit and debit card purchases, up to 120GB additional data and benefits worth up to Rs. 4,200 from Reliance Jio, and No-cost EMI options.
Realme 2 Specification
Realme 2 supports dual sim 4G VoLTE & run on Color Os 5.1 based on the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It has a 6.2-inch HD, 19: 9 aspect ratio + (720×1520 pixels) Display. Screen to body ratio is 88.8 percent and maximum brightness of 360 nits.
The handset has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. Adreno 506 GPU for graphics is integrated. There are two variants based on RAM and storage – 3 GB RAM / 32 GB and 4 GB / 64 GB. Both Variants have support for MicroSD card up to 256 GB.
In terms of camera department, Realme 2 has horizontal dual rear-mounted camera setup on the rear. The primary sensor is 13 megapixels, which has an aperture F/2.2 and a secondary camera has 2 megapixels with aperture F/2.4. The front panel has an 8-megapixel sensor with F/2.2 aperture & fixed focus.
The connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB with OTG Support and 3.5mm headphone jacks. The smartphone has a battery of 4,230 mAh bundled with 5v/2A Charger Adapter.
Realme 2 comes with Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Face Unlock Sensor, Fingerprint Sensor, and Proximity Sensor. Dimensions of the phone are 156.2×75.6×8.2 millimeters and weighing 168 grams.
Looks is better than previous one but performance might be downgrade with snapdragon 450.
