Android-Pie

The next iteration of the Android family will be known as Android Pie (Android 9.0) and it has been officially made available. Android Pie has been released following the 5 developer preview build of Android P. Google Claims that Beta Build has been tested by about 1,40,000 beta users so far. Earlier Google had partnered with several OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to bring Android Pie on their flagship device. However, the new software package has not been designed for the Nexus models like the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Pixel C.

Android Pie will be made available for Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL models first. Android Pie is a successor to Android Oreo and comes with several new features compared to Android Oreo. The most important of these are the gesture-based navigation system. This is highly inspired by the way the interface featured on the iPhone X last year, i.e. now the navigation with three buttons will be omitted.

Both features offer a very personalized experience. In addition to this, there is an App Action feature, which predicts what will be your next action. This action will be shown on the right side of the device. With the help of an app timer, you will be able to determine the amount of time you spend on a particular app. After the deadline is completed, the home screen will be visible in gray.
